Don Arabian
Board Founder/Member at Large
Don served as a member of the US military and as a US government civilian for 40 years. He and his wife Ann moved to Wilmington from Northern Virginia following retirement in 2010. Don, Ann and several friends started 2SHARE as a grass roots ministry in the wake of Hurricane Florence to provide replacement furniture to people, particularly families, who had lost so much because of the hurricane. That work continues today and is as personally rewarding and critically important as it was when we began 8 years ago.
Cecelia Peers
Board President
Cecelia Peers works with Trillium Health Resources, a local Medicaid specialty health plan address behavioral, physical, and social health needs. After volunteering with 2SHARE, she became committed to the mission and unmet need that the organization serves. She is the mother of a teenage girl, wife to a high school wrestling coach, and adopted parent of a feisty dog.
Alex Murchison

My name is Alex Murchison. I have lived in Wilmington my entire life. After retiring in 2022, I felt a need to offer something positive for this community. The all-volunteer efforts of 2Share produce very positive and immediate results, and is wonderfully rewarding. While 2Share grows every year, we will never meet all the needs. Come help us.

As a retired USG employee who served many years overseas; he witnessed famiiles in need, in many countries. Howeve: it wasnt until his retirement, moving to NC and almost immediately stricken by Hurricane Florence did he see how close to home the need existed. As such; he joined a small group of neighbors to help the less fortunate in WIlmington.which grew into 2Share Inc. Given the strong local presence, that helps the less fortunate. it is heartwarming to work with a team of “able-bodied people” and local organizations, such as Church of the Servant, St Mark Catholic Church, St James Episcopol Church and other local organizations.
Dave Werling

Dave is a retired marketing and sales executive with an MBA from Duke University and has been active in the Wilmington community since 2010. He joined 2SHARE to apply his experience to a cause where the impact is immediate and meaningful for families in need. He and his wife, Jean, enjoy camping, traveling internationally to explore new cultures, and spending time with their grandchildren.
David Brownlow

David is a local financial adviser who has served Wilmington families for over 20 years. He joined 2SHARE after seeing how much impact 2Share is having on the lives of the clients they serve. Outside of his work and volunteering, he enjoys golf and fishing.

Hello folks. This is Donna Gonsalves and I’m a caretaker. My education is in social work and community studies but I have always worked in caregiving in one capacity or another. Currently my primary focus is volunteer work with veterans. My interest in 2share follows in that I have observed veterans in need of furniture, etc too. For fun, I like walking, dancing, and gardening but can easily transform into a couch potato and binge on Netflix!

Scott Whisnant
Member at Large
Scott is retired after a 40-year career in journalism and hospital community relations. Through his work with social determinants of health, he became aware of the poor health outcomes of families who lack basic necessities. 2SHARE represents a common sense approach to taking furniture people no longer need and using it to help families who do need it. Scott has written two books, one a true crime book published in 1993 and the other a memoir about his life as a North Carolina basketball fan.
